The Museonder

Experience the Park

Ever wanted to take a look underground, literally and figuratively? Now you can at Museonder, the world's first underground museum.

What lives beneath the Earth's surface?

Museonder offers a surprising look at everything that lives and lived underground. The exhibition takes you on a journey deeper and deeper underground until you reach the centre of the earth.

There is much to discover along the way: the entire root system of a 135-year-old tree, stones that share their stories of origin by laying a hand on them, and a water laboratory. You can also find the bones of animals that roamed the earth thousands of years ago in the area now known as De Hoge Veluwe National Park.

Information desk

At the information desk in the Museonder, you can ask all your questions about the Park. The staff will be happy to tell you more about the Park, the walking and cycling routes, and the Park's museums. You can also book excursions and rent a bike here.
