The country house of the Kröller-Müller couple was officially completed in 1920 and contained technical highlights for that time, such as central heating, central clock system, central vacuum system, an elevator, Pullmann sliding windows and electric light. In the dark days around Christmas, the lights come on in the house and this icon of Dutch architecture shows its grandeur at twilight. Berlage 's artwork has something unique from all angles; this is emphasized even more by the warm light.
